![]() I really don't think any devloper can make it work well. ![]() Slime explained it nicely, but the other problem are the Wii controls they just don't seem suited for the genre. Namco may be one of Wii's biggest third party supporters, and they're getting quite the backlash from Legends, alright, but for them to make SCIV for Wii wouldn't be worth it. Wii owners sure as hell deserve a quality, traditional Soul Calibur, but it ain't going to happen. Having at least a Wii and a 360 will basically ensure that you're satisfied. Multiplatform games are all over the place, but really only between those two systems. The Wii for your casual games and Nintendo-exclusives, and either the 360 or PS3 for the key third party titles. This is why I suggest having at least two consoles this generation. So, instead you'll be seeing lots of lesser spin-offs of established franchises: stuff like Soul Calibur: Legends, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. What the developers would essentially have to do is remake the game from the ground up, and that is simply too much to ask for when they work so hard to make the normal versions. There is simply too much of a technical gap between the Wii and those that it would cost too much time and money to "port" most multiplatform titles over. But the fact is, most third party developers are going to focus their main efforts on the "true" next-gen systems. Yes, games look and perform nicely despite the hardware not being as good as the 360 or PS3. ![]()
